Important – please read before submitting this form

A Register Identifier Number (RIN) is used to authenticate Cervical Screening Test (CST) providers who do not have access to a Medicare Provider Number and need to view cervical screening records in the Healthcare Provider Portal.

Please note – RIN applications can take up to 4 weeks to process.

Before applying, consider whether delegate access is more appropriate:

  • If you work with a healthcare provider who has a Medicare Provider Number and Portal access, you can be registered as their delegate instead.
  • This includes nurses and support staff working in hospitals, clinics, community health services (including Aboriginal Medical Services and ACCHOs), laboratories, and radiology services.

To access the Portal using a RIN, you will need a PRODA account (an online identity verification and authentication system used to enable secure access to government online services).

Please ensure the details you provide in this form match your PRODA details exactly.

This form can be used to:

  • Apply for a Register Identifier Number, either for the first time or for an additional number
